We are a privately held trucking and logistics company seeking to fill the role of Collections

Specialist. This ideal candidate is a self-motivated, excel proficient, organized individual with

excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as a basic understanding of account

reconciliations and the accounts payable process.

Description:

• Reviewing open accounts for aged receivables and collecting payments in accordance with payment terms.
• Monitor accounts for changes that would impact payments, including contacts information and payment agreements.
• Making outbound collections communications in a professional manner while maintaining and improving customer relations.
• Provide timely follow-up on payment agreements.
• Researching and understanding receivables delinquencies and billing issues in a timely manner.
• Communicating internal issues related to delinquent accounts to the appropriate departments to drive process improvements.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and distribution of timely receivables and collections reports.
• Monitor accounts for Billing issues as it relates, researching and resolving as needed.

Requirements:

• Candidate should have the ability to prioritize his or her workload and must have the ability to be flexible and adjust his or her daily tasks as needed.
• The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of collections experience.
• Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity and ability to implement improvement strategies.
• Clear professional, persuasive verbal and written communication
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as perform in a team environment is required.
• Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• TMW and Great Plains Experience are a plus but not required.
• Strong background in the use of payment web portals is preferred.
• Understanding of Transportation related terminology is preferred.
