Being an Operating Room Supervisor supervises the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting. May oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients. Additionally, Operating Room Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Operating Room Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Position Summary
Up to $30K in Commitment Incentive
Under the direction of the Operating Room (OR) Nurse Manager, this position will be responsible for supervising staff and coordinating surgical care provided to patients having operative and invasive procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
Associate degree in Nursing required.
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room required.
Current registered nurse licensure in state of NC required.
American Heart Association - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Requirements
BSN or higher preferred.
