Operating Systems Programmer jobs in Illinois

• Master's degree and at least 4 years of experience or 8-10 years of practical hands-on experience in this role.
• 2 years of experience in the mainframe environment, preferably GIS Cluster C/A - COBOL development.
• 3 years of experience in SQL/DB2 programming mainframe.
• 3 years of experience developing IMS or CICS (IMS preferred).
• 2 years of experience with debugging tools like Xpediter and Abend-AID.
• 2 of experience working with end customers on IT requirements/testing.
• Good communication skills with fluent English.

Your primary responsibility is coordinating changes to computer databases and testing and implementing them by applying knowledge of database management systems. You will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database. This role will help with their development strategy projects.

• Research existing mainframe programs and document/flow charting findings.
• Enhance existing programs.
• Write custom one-time-only use programs to perform data modifications.
• Document change evidence for FSA/SOX compliance.

• Experience in working with FSA/SOX controls.
