U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Business Systems Programming Analyst who is responsible for identifying areas of improvement within our US Global Fund Services Alternative Investments team. This individual proactively analyzes and identifies problems raised by the business users.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Liaises with internal and external clients, business partners, and developers regarding projects and builds automated processes benefiting the department.
Documents client requirements and translates them into business and/or technical specifications.
Designs and implements quality practical business solutions with the tools at hand.
Recognizes business opportunities/value and identifies potential opportunities from different functional areas with little guidance.
Completes systems testing before releases for quality assurance of reports as well as functionality.
Holds training sessions and demonstrates system functionalities for teams once solution is completed.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Accounting, Finance or a business-related field, or equivalent work experience
Two to three years of related experience, preferably building automated solutions for finance teams
Preferred Skills/Experience
SQL – Intermediate, able to read and work on procedures, creation of tables and triggers
Python or any other scripting/programming language – Intermediate level minimum
Experienced using a Database Management System Software and visualization tools (ex. Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Cognos)
Experienced designing and developing new solutions from business requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experienced in testing end-user software for patches and upgrades
Proficient at documenting and expressing business processes and workflows, translating them into technical specifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven team-oriented, leadership and organizational skills
