Operations Clerk provides clerical/administrative support to the operations group. Enters, compiles, and validates data using simple math as needed. Being a Operations Clerk performs clerical production activities such as proof, reconciliation, and posting. Prepares basic correspondence, forms and other documents as needed. Additionally, Operations Clerk may help research and resolve basic operational problems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Operations Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.   • Duties

    • Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the operation for which assigned. Receives and acts on internal actions and requests.
    • Maintains property accountability records. Prepares issue, turn-in and other transaction documents for non-expendable property. Monitors budgetary expenses.
    • Receives telephone calls and visitors, provides required information from own knowledge and office files or refers callers to appropriate person.
    • Follows up with guest on status of emergency work orders. Types various correspondence and reports. Tabulates statistical data into final format.
    • Gathers data and documentation for special projects and prepares briefing support materials. Establishes, maintains or controls suspense logs.

    • This position will be relocated to Wheeler Army Airfield in July 2024. All personnel will be moved from Halawa, Honolulu to the new facility location at Wheeler Army Airfield, Schofield Barracks Hawaii.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    1.Basic computer and math skills and clerical or administrative work experience.
    2. Must be able to type 40 words per minute.
    3. Required to perform 40 ponds heavy lifting

    PCS Costs
    • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
    Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
    • This is a pay-banded position.
    • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
    • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
