Operations Clerk provides clerical/administrative support to the operations group. Enters, compiles, and validates data using simple math as needed. Being a Operations Clerk performs clerical production activities such as proof, reconciliation, and posting. Prepares basic correspondence, forms and other documents as needed. Additionally, Operations Clerk may help research and resolve basic operational problems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Operations Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
Moving freight and skids using a forklift.
Daily interactions with Customs Border Protection.
Complete daily downtime tasks and checklists in an efficient manner.
Adhere to all IBC protocols, procedures, and rules in a professional manner.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Requirements:
Must have experience working with AMS systems.
Minimum one year of operations experience in the logistics/shipping industry.
Must be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and oral.
Proficiencies in MS Office, Outlook email, and Internet usage/research.
Ability to work efficiently while managing multiple projects/tasks/systems simultaneously.
Effective time management and task management skills.
Attention to detail.
Heavy lifting.
