Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst assists in the preparation and maintenance of the health system’s annual budget; while preparing and analyzing monthly variance reports.

Job Description:

• Assists with the budget and forecasting process for the health system
  • Assists in budget preparation, implementation, and control
  • Provides variance analysis of budget vs. actual results for assigned areas, providing explanations of the causes of variances
  • Serves as custodian of the decision support system through analysis and mapping data relationships across source systems
  • Integrates datasets from downstream sources in preparation for analytics
  • Provides training to end users on financial budgeting
• Provides financial profit and loss analysis and evaluates performance of operational areas
  • Assists with the profitability model and integrated operational relationships specific to each economic unit
  • Partners with economic unit stakeholders as a subject matter expert in finance to articulate results and supports their achievement of business goals
  • Monitors actual results of financial data against plans, forecasts and budgets
  • Gathers, organizes and documents relevant financial profit and loss information

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Statistic, Mathematics, or other field of study. Applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Experience: Three (3) years of experience performing analysis, data manipulation and reporting of financial information.
