*This is an onsite position with hours Monday through Thursday 8:00-4:30, Friday 8:00-4:00  

Bartholomew & Company is seeking a Senior Investment Research Analyst to join their team in Worcester, MA. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, the Senior Investment Research Analyst will play a key role in providing support to the investment management team with research, data analysis, process improvement, data management and reporting. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player and problem-solver with attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and demonstrated success and interest in financial markets.  

Senior Investment Research Analyst Job Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, or economics
• 2 to 5 years’ industry experience
• Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain within 180 days)
• CFA Charter or enrollment in CFA Institute’s CFA program a plus
• Smart, driven, intellectually curious, high achiever, team player with a passion for math and analytics
• Solid conceptual understanding of economics and the capacity to develop strong financial analysis skills
• Knowledge of investment securities including stocks, bonds, and diversified investment vehicles such as mutual funds, closed-end funds, exchange traded funds, etc.
• Demonstrated professional and/or academic success and interest in financial markets
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Accountability and attention to detail are critical factors to succeed in this role
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel

Senior Investment Research Analyst Job Responsibilities  

• Assist in cash allocation and daily maintenance of investment accounts
• Provide technical support to the Investment Management team including assisting with asset allocation decisions, portfolio construction, and rebalancing strategies; identify problem areas, then communicate and collaborate with the team
• Manage internal database and maintain best practices to keep current
• Present findings and recommendations on existing holdings and new opportunities to the investment team
• Maintain recommended investment lists
• Maintain up-to-date information on model portfolios and performance
• Serve as a liaison between company and sponsors, such as mutual fund and/or research companies
• Assist team in meeting all client needs
• Serves as team lead when needed, providing leadership and support to Financial Analyst
