The Ground Transportation operations Supervisor supports the Assistant Operations Manager with a complete oversight for financials and operations of Parking and Ground Transportation Department – Primary, Terminal Access Operations at CT10, CT25/CT28, ensuring 24/7 professional operations management. Ground Transportation Supervisor also works closely with Administrative Assistant on sustaining our partnering Operators’ contact information updated for billing/Account Receivable accuracy and ensuring that all customer experience is the best that it can be, as well as marketing initiatives to drive organizational objective. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in potentially uncomfortable weather conditions, must be able to work on weekends/holidays as needed, and comfortable working in crowded spaces.
Description of Duties:
· Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including data entry, drafting correspondence, and other business documents.
· Monitoring Cruise Terminals’ Parking area, SMP Garage, and Transit Terminal to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintained to standards; supervise on-going maintenance projects to ensure quality and timely completion. Perform monthly Preventive Maintenance on all Access Control Equipment.
· Assist in the supervision of reports and Access Control Equipment to prevent loss through theft, discrepancy, defect, and/or vandalism; perform necessary repairs as needed.
· Monitor weekly Terminal Access Usage Report and assist with Month-End Reporting. Monitor Aging Report and follow up on outstanding invoices/Account Receivable.
· Serve as a liaison to Terminal Access patrons and various stakeholder groups who are impacted by the operations of the assigned locations (and vice versa).
· Ensuring increased revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction is maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of the Port of Galveston.
· Understand and uphold our vendors to the performance of the respective agreements in place. Responding to Terminal Access inquiries via emails/phone calls with a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
· Assist with special projects and assessments to improve the operations/locations. Implementation and completion of other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from assigned portfolio operation. Assist to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives.
· Communicate with local police department and emergency management teams regarding operations as needed. Participate and assist with planning for the opening of new locations.
· Assumes administrative responsibility in the absence of Operations Assistant Manager including decision making and personnel direction.
· Fill in to provide coverage for front line positions, as needed.
· Additional related duties as assigned.
