How You’ll Make an Impact
We need a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert in our opearations environment. Operator technicians of Valvoline Global’s automotive test laboratory in Ashland, KY primarily operate on various engine tests and other automotive tests which crucial to research & development, performance validation, and certification of Valvoline Global’s various automotive products, such as light-duty as well as heavy-duty engine oil lubricants, coolants, and other automotive fluids. In the role, you would be responsible for:
What You’ll Need
Basic ability to operate computers (Microsoft Windows), computerized systems and use Microsoft Word, and Excel, is required.
Understanding US std. and SI/metric units of length dimension as well as for other process parameters (such as; temperature, pressure, flow, weight, volume, force, torque, velocity etc.)
Understanding of vehicle systems, automotive operations, internal combustion engine components etc.
Basic utility knowledge of various mechanics tools
Basic working understanding of US std. pipe dimensions, threads & thread sizes, various connection/ fittings (NPT, Straight, Hyd., EFI, JIC/AN, Swagelok, camlock, US vs metric etc.), hoses, tubing etc.
What Will Set You Apart
Professional or technical certification(s) (such as vehicle diagnostics, diesel mechanic, ASE / other OEM certification, etc.)
