Basic Function and Overview: The Rental Technician provides guest services related to the proper selection, fitting, renting and selling of a variety of winter sports equipment and accessories. Assists in numerous functions related to maintaining efficient and high-quality shop operations.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure equipment is clean, serviced and tested according to company standards.
- Tune and wax skis and snowboards.
- Complete binding test per ASTM standards
- Adjust equipment to properly fit guests and ensure safety.
- Be a strong contributor to a teamwork environment and adhere to all shift schedules.
- Adhere to all safety procedures.
- Maintain all paperwork according to company policy.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of skis and snowboards and all related gear.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes holidays and weekends.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous ski/board tuning experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
