Provide leadership and technical support to the assigned areas of the plant. In this role, the Assistant Unit Manager will provide direction and leadership to multiple craft supervisors and their crews of craftsmen. He will ensure that best practices are followed, including planning and scheduling compliance, work productivity, craft feedback to improve processes, and continually improving maintenance costs while staying within budgets. He will provide trend reporting on these areas and develop corrective actions, to achieve compliance. These plans may include training, auditing, process modifications, and research to develop improving standard practices.
