Order Clerk jobs in Utica, NY
Order Clerk receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
1. Pick customer orders in a timely manner using batch and pick tickets.
2. Verify all items pulled for orders and place in appropriate shipping boxes.
3. Assist with labeling and stocking of merchandise on shelves.
4. Comply with safety policies and procedures for safety of self and others.
5. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Qualifications:
1. Two (2) years of experience as an order filler in a warehouse setting.
2. Able to lift 50 lbs. properly.As per NYS Law, the full salary range is $15.00- $19.69 per hour. However, our Compensation System is designed to hire new employees between the rates listed above.
