Traffic and Order Specialist

Bellingham Cold Storage is looking for new full-time team member to join our industry-leading cold chain logistics company. Based in Bellingham, WA for over 77 years, we own and manage several warehouse locations including the largest portside cold storage facility on the West Coast.

The Traffic and Order Specialist at Bellingham Cold Storage is an essential contributor to our success.

What does the Traffic and Order Specialist do?

• Demonstrates an exceptionally high level of customer service.
• Enters customer orders into proprietary inventory software and uses a computer proficiently.
• Schedules inbound and outbound freight appointments for specific dock locations.
• Audits receiving documents and maintains inventory/shipping records for reporting purposes.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with customers, co-workers, dispatchers, and management via email, in person and over the phone.
• Analyzes and resolves issues promptly.
• Understands inventory and warehousing principles.
• Willingly performs other duties as assigned including backing up and assisting team members.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit or stand at a desk for lengthy periods of time in front of a computer screen
• Occasionally walk-up stairs and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Conduct conversations in person, over email and on the phone in English
• Fine motor skills to type emails, sort/file paperwork and operate phone
• Physically work in office

Wages and hours

Hourly range is $21.45 - $28.81 DOE.

Location:

• Work will be performed at our Roeder Avenue facility in Bellingham, WA.
• Hours are Monday – Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
