This role is crucial in preparing accurate and profitable job estimates, converting them into successful bids, and ensuring project completion. The Project Estimator will report directly to the President, Vice President, and Director of Operations.     Responsibilities
    • Develop and present winning project proposals by estimating from plans and other documentation provided by customers.
    • Create and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, prospective customers, and co-workers.
    • Complete project estimates, take-offs from blueprints, and submit proposals in accordance with SR Freeman's sales process.
    • Collaborate closely with project foremen and project managers to ensure project success.
    • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel, including on job sites.
    • Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors and other staff members across all departments.
    • Attend regular management meetings and keep employees informed on matters affecting their job performance.
    • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the President, Vice President, and Director of Operations.
    Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
    • Understanding of building and framing layout.
    • Ability to read blueprints and perform take-off details for equipment and material needs.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with employees of varying education levels.
    • Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
    • Current California Driver’s license and insurability.
    • 1-2 years of practical experience in project administration.
    • Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
