Order Clerk, Sr. receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk, Sr. confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk, Sr. may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     These positions reside in the courtrooms of the Criminal Division or the Traffic Division of the Clerk of Courts. The pay rate is $16.86 per hour.

    The Trial Clerk performs office and clerical work in and out of the courtroom consisting of increasingly detailed work assignments. This work is time-critical and must be performed efficiently and accurately to meet court requirements and schedules. Trial Clerks will spend the majority of their time in the courtroom or hearing room. This position requires flexibility to work unscheduled overtime based on the needs of the Court, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

    The role performs a variety of clerical tasks, such as:

    • Swear people in and take evidence
    • Keep the record
    • Take notes on what happens in court
    • Take in and maintain evidence
    • Take and enter pleas

    A Trial Clerk might work face-to-face, over the phone, online, or any combination of the three with coworkers at the Clerk’s office, the Judges, the Judicial Assistants, the Deputies, the defendants, the attorneys, the State, and the Public Defenders.

    Requirements for a Trial Clerk:

    Required:

    • A high school diploma or equivalent
    • One (1) year general office experience and effective verbal and written communication skills.

    Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

    • The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
    • The ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications is necessary.
    • Use of specified computer applications to include case management and data entry programs may be required.
    • Operate a variety of office equipment, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard, scanning equipment, printer, fax machine, copying machine, telephones, typewriter, calculator, etc.
