We are hiring an experienced Order Selector to join the team at a major food distributor.
Pay starts at $22.00 per hour, operating on 2nd shift 5:00pm-1:30am Monday-Friday, plus potential overtime on holidays and weekends. Employees are eligible to enroll in our Medical, Dental, Vision, and other benefit plans after 60 days of employment.
Qualifications:
As an Order Selector, you will be responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using RF label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders, and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner. The Order Selector also hand-selects orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer. The Order Selector uses an RF unit to create labels, correctly places labels on product, stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.), stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations, and stretch-wraps product on loading dock. In addition, the Order Selector maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment and performs pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, RF unit, and personal protective equipment.
