Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Summary
Responsible to develop and manage talent development and culture management initiatives aimed at retention and professional growth of Association employees. Additionally, this position is responsible to oversee programs related to training and development, leadership/employee development, succession planning, employee communications specific to Human Resources, strategic staffing, culture initiatives, organizational development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) / environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting and initiatives.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Some travel to remote sites may be required. This position requires some time outside of typical working hours and travel to meetings outside the State.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (business administration, economics, industrial relations) required. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification, or willingness and ability to obtain within two (2) years, preferred. Organizational Development certificate also preferred.
Experience
Five (5) years of experience in Organizational Development required. Experience must include designing and managing and implementing leadership training, succession planning, organizational development, DEI/ESG, and talent development programs for a similarity complex organization. Experience working in a union environment preferred.
Substitution
Additional experience in Organizational Development may substitute for the education requirement. Two years of experience is equivalent to one year of formal education.
