Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Overview:

    As the Director of Development for The Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre you will provide the necessary support to sustain and advance our mission. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead in all aspects of fundraising, sponsorships, major gifts, grant writing, and grant administration. Your vision and ability to cultivate relationships will be critical in driving revenue growth and ensuring the longevity and success of HPAC.

    Responsibilities:

    Fundraising:

    • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals and long-term financial sustainability.• Identify new opportunities for fundraising initiatives and diversification of funding streams.• Cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations.

    Sponsorships:

    • Lead efforts to secure corporate sponsorships and partnerships, including negotiating sponsorship packages and benefits.• Maintain ongoing communication and relationships with sponsors, ensuring fulfillment of sponsorship agreements and fostering long-term partnerships.

    Major Gifts:

    • Identify and cultivate relationships with major donors capable of making significant contributions to the organization.• Develop personalized strategies for major donors, including individuals and families, to secure major gifts.

    Grant Writing and Administration:

    • Research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations.• Manage grant administration processes, including reporting requirements, compliance, and supervision of grant funders.• Collaborate with program staff to ensure alignment between grant-funded initiatives and organizational objectives.

    Donor Relations:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, ensuring regular communication, acknowledgement, and recognition of their support.• Implement donor initiatives to engage and retain donors, including donor appreciation events, newsletters, and personalized communications.

    Budgeting and Reporting:

    • Work closely with the team to develop fundraising budgets and monitor revenue projections.• Provide regular reports to the CEO and Board of Directors on fundraising progress, donor metrics, and financial performance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Arts Administration, Business Administration) preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in fundraising, sponsorships, and major gifts within the nonprofit sector, preferably in a performing arts or cultural organization.
    • Strong grant writing skills with experience securing grants from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making entities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute fundraising plans that align with organizational goals and priorities.
    • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of fundraising databases and software, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Passion for the performing arts and a commitment to the mission and values of The Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
