Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     What will the Director of Training and Development do?
    The Director of Training and Development will work with all program level directors on developing training materials for employees. The position will require the candidate to remain knowledgeable regarding current best practice standards and training requirements for each of our lines. The Director of Training and Development will support employees who serve a population seeking behavioral health and addiction treatment, and therefore, must be driven, empathetic, and passionate about mental health, suicide prevention and substance abuse treatment for consumers of all ages.
    What are some of the essential functions?
    • Identifies potential training needs of employees in compliance with grant/program requirements.
    • Conducts training and development on an on-going and as needed basis.
    • Directs the design, planning and implementation of company training programs aligned with the goals and strategic plan of the organization.
    • Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization.
    • Plans and leads short and long-term planning for training and development programs.
    • Required to maintain continuing education in relevant areas.
    What are the requirements for the positions?
    • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, or other relevant human services field required. Master’s degree in social work, psychology or other relevant human services field preferred. Those already certified to provide ASIST and SafeTalk Training (through Livingworks) will be given preference.
    • Proven ability to train and lead groups of people.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and orally. Must be able to speak in front of groups.
    • Must be willing to train employees on topics regarding suicide, substance use, mental illness, domestic violent, etc.
    • Ability to be flexible, think critically and problem solve.
    • Ability to navigate through and lead through difficult conversations, including situations discussing addiction, suicide, grief, domestic violence, etc.
    • Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen (post-offer).
    • Ability to work different shifts, when needed, to meet our employees where they are.
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Continuous computer work, so candidates must have computer and typing skills.
