Organizational Development Manager manages all aspects of organizational development. Oversees the development of training programs, facilitation of change management initiatives, and review of current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Manager develops programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Facilitates the development and implementation of employee performance measurements to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Manager assesses leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Organizational Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Organizational Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     In collaboration with other members of the OD and Learning Team, the Senior Organizational Development Consultant will consult with leaders at all levels of the organization regarding leader and team effectiveness (teaming best practices, change management, org. design, etc.).  The role will help establish the practices and implementation of organization-wide efforts (performance management, engagement, change, etc.)  The role has a heavy emphasis on leading Learning & Development programs (design, develop, and deploy, both individual and leader, skill development). This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely.

    Responsibilities

    Organization Development

    • Support employee engagement survey efforts, from start of the survey to analysis and follow-up related to team and org results
    • Collaborate on the design of new approaches and systems related to performance management an organizational learning
    • Collaborate on issues related to org culture, values and norms
    • Consult with leaders regarding organizational change
    • Coach leaders on change and transition issues and provide strategic advice and support on the implementation of changes for teams
    • Coach leaders on best team practices and offer support using data collection, facilitation and team intervention tools
    • Facilitate complex or high stakes meetings related to org change and strategic planning
    • Coach leaders on developmental and improvement paths
    • Consult with leaders on issues of organizational effectiveness and health
    • Provide coaching through the use of 360 and other assessments

    Learning & Development

    • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with organization leaders
    • Design an overall training and development plan that addresses skill and competency requirements
    • Deploy a wide variety of training methods (classroom, self-directed, etc.)
    • Develop and collaborate on the design of blended learning efforts, particularly in the area of leadership development

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree or additional relevant experience required
    • Minimum of 5 years as an OD and Training Practitioner
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct leadership and management training
    • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team
    • Mastery of group facilitation and group process skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge of OD constructs and corresponding usage of tools related to team building, change mgt., leadership dev and org systems assessment
    • Demonstrated knowledge of team and leader assessment methodologies
    • Demonstrated knowledge of learning program design (skill and competency development)
    • Ability to manage projects related to Org-wide efforts
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Masters in OD or a related field
    • Experience in an academic research or/healthcare

    The annual base salary range for this position is from $104,416 to $165,006, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
