We are looking for a Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for generating referral growth in Northwest Indiana by coordinating sales and networking activities while using a consultative sales approach. Business Development Specialists will be responsible for the execution of regional strategy, overseeing educational events, conducting collaborated in-services with customers, and making daily calls to prospective referral sources. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales and will work with our analytical team on a regular basis to strategize the region.
CORE DUTIES
· Work with Vice President of Sales to develop a strategy in the assigned region
· Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue from existing referral sources, generate new referral source sales
· Develop Sales/Growth/Business plan with each clinic in assigned territory
· Achieve existing referral source maintenance and expansion objectives
· Provide service support and follow up to referral sources
· Conduct extensive new referral source development program including customer in-service meetings with clinical partners, cold calls, drop-ins, etc.
· Promotes the use of assigned products to healthcare professionals in an assigned territory through customer visits, the dissemination of sales literature, and product demonstrations
· Partners with Professional Clinical Services to educate healthcare professionals on our company’s Orthotics & Prosthetics products
· Build, develop, and maintain collaborative and meaningful relationships
· Building relationships, receiving referrals and promoting our products with Hospitals, Nursing Homes community organizations, and physician practices.
· Managing and creating new referral sources (nursing homes, hospitals, community, physical therapy referrals, etc.)
· Responsible for developing and managing relationships with physician offices and hospital services
· Influence existing and potential customers through networking, cold calling, and industry research to increase revenues
· Create opportunities to drive incremental growth in assigned region
· Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with local specialists and their staff to achieve collaboration and high-quality patient care
· Effectively utilize technical and social media platforms to create visibility to provide value to referral sources
· Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s various devices and services
· Conduct educational in-services and community events
· Coordinate marketing and communication of new processes and programs through community outreach
· Effective utilization of Zoho to driving strong account management and territory management/knowledge
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Two to three years of sales & marketing experience in the Healthcare industry is preferable
· Experience in developing leads and researching potential customers
· Excellent verbal and writing communication skills, including the ability to make presentations
· Interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people daily
· Time management and prioritization skills to meet prospective customers
· Quick thinking to provide creative solutions that address customers’ needs and concerns
