Orthopedic Technician applies and adjusts plaster casts and assembles and attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by a physician. Sets up bed traction units or rigs special devices as required, and inspects and adjusts bandages and equipment. Being an Orthopedic Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, completion of Orthopedic Technician training and certification program. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Operations Technician II, Manual Production performs various operations including but not limited to straightening, buffing, and grinding on parts to achieve the required dimensional specifications. They are also cross-trained on and can perform numerous operations within manual production without supervision.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products
Perform different types of operations based on manufacturing needs.
Assist in training of personnel as directed by the department Supervisor or Lead.
Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Completes all required training.
Completes all required training.

Perform cleaning operations of castings using various sandblast equipment per tech card.
Inspect and maintain blast cabinets, media, nozzles and hoses in order to ensure proper cleaning.
Complete proper documentation as required including process routing card, salvage router and scrap tags.
Maintain associated records, logs, and reports.
