Position Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President of Outpatient Services, the Clinic Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for the performance, management and oversight of daily operations of the Practice, including Outpatient Therapy, Outpatient Psychiatry, and Practice Management, and a matrix oversight of other program areas in the practice. The clinic director supervises practice management and clinicians and ensures the quality of care for all services, including outpatient psychiatry, meets regulatory, licensing, and clinical standards. This position actively assumes responsibility for implementing policies and procedures, ensures effective and consistent communication in the designated region across the MaineHealth network and works collaboratively to address barriers to services delivery and patient flow.
This position is responsible for understanding and ensuring program level compliance with contractual requirements, oversight and monitoring of existing workflows and processes and implementation of new workflows and processes when indicated. This position will identify and monitor the integrity of data reporting mechanisms and will engage in process improvement activities to maximize operational and fiscal efficiencies. The Clinic Director will work closely and collaboratively with the Regional Medical Director and will directly supervise the practice manager to ensure daily operations meet clients and providers needs. The Clinic Director will work closely with the senior directors and managers of all the programs offered in the practice. This individual proactively participates in program development for designated program areas including grant opportunities.
