OUTREACH SPECIALIST
Job Description
The Outreach Specialist plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community members, educators, policymakers, and other relevant entities. They are responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and participation in programs and initiatives as well as assisting with education efforts. This position requires excellent communication, networking, community engagement and organizational skills to effectively engage with and convey key messages to diverse communities and stakeholders which foster partnerships and drive positive change.
RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES

- Follow and adhere to the agency’s policies and procedures.
- Dress professionally and maintain professional interactions with patients, staff, and other stakeholders when representing the agency.
- Develop and implement comprehensive outreach strategies to increase awareness and understanding of the organization’s mission, programs, and objectives.
- Assist with educational materials and resources tailored to different audiences such as schools, community groups, families, and policy makers.
- Assist with planning and conducting conduct workshops, training sessions, presentations, and other educational activities to engage target audiences and promote learning.
- Coordinate with internal teams to integrate education and outreach efforts with other organizational initiatives and programs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, stakeholders, to enhance outreach efforts and maximize impact.
- Coordinate outreach events, including conferences, health and resource fairs, and community gatherings to disseminate information and foster connections.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach initiatives through data collection, surveys, and other feedback mechanisms to help make recommendations for improvement to the grant committees
- Stay informed about relevant trends, research, and best practices in outreach, communication, and community engagement to inform program development and outreach strategies.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public forums to communicate key messages and build relationships with external stakeholders.
- Provide weekly updates on activities/plans/and outcomes and complete all mandatory documentation.
- Assist on the mobile unit providing education/outreach and or intakes and act as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Participate in agency planning and strategy sessions.
- Perform other related work as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree with earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Public Health, Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Care Administration, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field; and Professional experience in supported employment, mental health, public health, environmental health, education, social services, adult corrections, probation and parole, public administration, business administration, or a closely related area; OR hold a credential with the Missouri Credentialing Board- MAADC I, MAADC II, CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, or Prevention Specialist.
