Package Design Manager leads the planning, design, and creation of packaging artwork for an organization. Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Being a Package Design Manager incorporates industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. Additionally, Package Design Manager collaborates with production, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver designs that meet all requirements and adhere to the budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in industrial design, art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Package Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What does a Custom Millwork & Design Group (CMD) Project Manager do?

    As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes together with our Manufacturing Team, Drafting Design Team, and Sales and Estimating Team to ensure that our projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while overseeing the quality and service that we proudly offer our valued clients.

    Project Manager Duties

    Specific project manager responsibilities include coordination and communication between our manufacturing team, our installation team and the client’s management team.

    Project Manager Requirements

    Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in project transfer meetings and shall consolidate project information into management form.
    • Distribute the information to other members of the Daily Operations Team as required.
    • Fully understand the project details and material requirements for the successful production process required to complete the project.
    • Shall assist in obtaining, documenting and coordinating the Operations Team, details that relate to shop production, material requirements and scheduling for each project.
    • Assist in setting and managing the production schedule.
    • Shall be responsible for the schedule coordination with the Installation Manager.
    • Shall be responsible for the daily/weekly meetings with the Operations Team to relay such details as needed.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation
    • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
    • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
    • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
    • Report and escalate to management as needed
    • Manage the relationship with the client and be responsible for schedule coordination and communication with the Client Team.
    • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

    Requirements

    • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the construction industry.
    • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
