Package Design Manager leads the planning, design, and creation of packaging artwork for an organization. Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Being a Package Design Manager incorporates industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. Additionally, Package Design Manager collaborates with production, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver designs that meet all requirements and adhere to the budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in industrial design, art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Package Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Design firm seeking experienced Project Manager. Ideal candidates should have thorough knowledge and experience in the processing of building permits. Knowledge of building codes and technical standards required. Must be proficient with AutoCAD and able to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and civil plans.

    Duties: 
    • Communicate with clients directly regarding permits, ensuring their expectations are met
    • Submit plans, documents, and payments to the city regarding permits. 
    • Ensuring structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality
    • Review plans and work together with the expeditor. 
    • Attend meetings with the plan checker in person and go over corrections in person. 
    • Keeping up-to-date with changing building legislation and codes of practice relating to design

    Requirements:
    • 2 years’ experience in processing building permits. 
    • Proficient in AutoCAD. 
    • Able to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and civil plans.
    • Excellent customer service, great attitude
    • Must possess strong time management and people management skills, as well as have the ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines
    • Extremely detail-oriented.
    • Reliable vehicle and car insurance
