Packaging Machine Operator jobs in Ventura, CA
Packaging Machine Operator sets up and operates a packaging machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Fills, secures, and labels containers according to company and/or customer specifications. Being a Packaging Machine Operator verifies goods packaged against package invoices. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Additionally, Packaging Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Documents inventory number and weight, and organizes packages. May make minor repairs to packaging equipment as needed. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Packaging Machine Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Overview:
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a Gerber cutting machine and a Laser cutter to ensure efficient production processes. This is a full-time position in our warehouse facility.Duties:
- Set up and operate machine according to specifications and instructions
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns
- Inspect products for quality and make adjustments as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environmentQualifications:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plus but willing to train the right candidate
- Familiarity with CAD software for programming machines
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferable but not required
- Must have knowledge and ability to use computer
- Basic math knowledge (Add, subtract, divide and multiply)
