Packaging Manager manages and oversees the packaging staff on designated shift to achieve operational objectives. Observes, analyzes, and researches packaging line operation to develop and implement scientific and efficient process. Being a Packaging Manager implements quality control check to ensure the packaging meets environment, health, and safety regulations. Provides staff with directions on materials and equipment for each package. Additionally, Packaging Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Packaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.   • The Packaging Sales Representative (Account Manager) is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with our key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth in the packaging industry. The Sales Representative will serve as the main point of contact between the company and key clients, developing and executing account strategies to achieve mutual success.

    Essential JOB DUTIES

    Perform a variety of leadership duties and job tasks within an assigned department and /or work areas, ensuring that all application safety laws/regulations as well as state/federal employment laws that pertain to this position are following in accordance with Company policies, procedure, standards, and work rules. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Client Relationship Management:

    · Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.

    · Understand client needs, objectives, and challenges to provide tailored solutions.

    · Act as the main point of contact and advocate for clients within the organization.

    Sales and Revenue Growth:

    · Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within key accounts.

    · Collaborate with sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.

    · Track and report on key account performance and revenue metrics.

    Account Strategy and Planning:

    · Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.

    · Collaborate with cross functional teams to align strategies and deliver on client expectations.

    · Identify opportunities for account expansion and growth.

    Communication and Presentations:

    · Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on products, services, and industry trends.

    · Conduct presentations to showcase the value proposition and address client needs.

    · Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

    Contract Negotiations:

    · Negotiate contract terms and agreements with key clients.

    · Ensure that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.

    · Collaborate with legal and financial teams to finalize and execute contracts.

    Customer Satisfaction and Retention:

    · Monitor and measure customer satisfaction levels.

    · Proactively address issues or concerns raised by key clients.

    · Implement initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and retention.

    Market Analysis:

    · Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities.

    · Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends and analysis.

    Reporting:

    · Maintain accurate records of key account activities, interactions, and sales.

    · Prepare and submit regular reports to management on account performance.

    Other activities:

    · Conduct plant tours for potential clients and visitors.

    · Attend trade shows to promote company products and services.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · Outstanding problem solving, time management, interpersonal and customer service skills a must.

    · Effective planning and organizing skills as they relate to sales, customer relationship building and market research.

    · Strong knowledge of production methods/systems, continuous improvement processes, problem analysis and resolution.

    · Effective presentation skills (one-on-one or in group settings), and effective telephone etiquette skills/techniques.

    · Proficient computer skills and knowledge applicable to the job (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, e-mail), as well as proficiency in the use of in-house programs and applications.

    · Excellent customer-service skills, and the ability to handle multiple duties and assignments effectively and efficiently.

    · Strong knowledge of production methods, systems, and continuous-improvement processes.

    The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:

    · BA/BS Degree in business or applicable field.

    · Five (5) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced sales/customer service or similar work environment; or

    · Must have packaging (primary/secondary), labeling or folding carton sales experience to be successful in this role.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

    The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities during work:

    · Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during course of work shift.

    · Required to regularly stoop, bend, kneel, lift, and reach, in the performance of this role.

    · Required the use of hands, speech and hearing, and use of feet to operate machinery/equipment; Agility to operate and frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts.

    · Lifting requirements: 25-35 lbs.; and the ability to move/push up to 25 lbs.

    · The noise level in this work environment may be moderate to high.

    · Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes, or airborne particles, outside weather conditions.

    · PPE requirements: Regular use of safety glasses, standard ear plugs, masks, safety shoes, and gloves.
