This position will join an accounting team in a manufacturing setting with multiple locations and will perform AP/AR functions, payroll functions and make monthly journal entries. Assists in mid-level accounting work that will be used in financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and distribute AR aging reports.
Process all payments.
Work with customers and sales to resolve payment discrepancies.
Create weekly AP check runs for all locations.
Set and process bi-weekly payroll.
Enter monthly journal entries.
Reconcile accounts monthly.
Prepare and file sales and use taxes.
Must comply with all company policies.
Must follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to job function and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Knowledge/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related.
3-5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing preferred
Strong understanding of accounting procedures.
Must be attentive to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.
Computer knowledge of Excel and Word.
Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload.
