Packer/Packager, Hand packages materials and products manually. Performs basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance. Being a Packer/Packager, Hand folds and tapes boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Packer/Packager, Hand typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Packer/Packager, Hand possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
- Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of equipment and shop
- Repair and maintain equipment used on farm
- Utilize mechanical knowledge/experience to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Use hand tools to complete various tasks such as building and repairing
-Opportunities for tractor work and trucking work during chopping
Experience:
- Knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues is beneficial
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper use is desired
This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and knowledge on how to prioritize. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working along with a willingness to learn new skills.
