POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintain proper storage of food items and maintenance of storage areas.
Controls all storage locations for food items within HACCP standards and local/sate health regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Prepare lettuce salad mixtures.
Prepare poultry, seafood, and meat items for further processing.
Insure proper food rotation.
Maintain organization of linen.
Assure cleanliness of prep area and storage facilities.
Works in cooperation with and assists the cooks and all other employees.
Performs side work before, during, and at end of shift.
Exhibits ability to keep up with peak period demands and assists cooks to perform at level demanded.
Maintains proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
Adhere to grooming standards necessary for a sanitary environment.
Report item shortages to Lead Cook to ensure stock levels.
Assures compliance with personnel and department policies and procedures.
Performs other general duties as directed by the Lead Cook.
