Utilizes a variety of sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes to research and analyze legal topics. Being a Paralegal drafts and edits legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts. Conducts fact-finding, data collection, and analysis used to prepare statements and arguments. Additionally, Paralegal assists attorneys with depositions, interviews, discovery, and investigations. Manages, organizes, and archives documents with software tools and technology. Applies specialized legal terminology appropriately in documents. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to an attorney. The Paralegal work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Paralegal typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience. General Summary
We have a great opportunity for a Paralegal. This position will be based at our headquarters in Blue Ash, Ohio with the opportunity to work remotely. You will report to Michelman’s corporate lawyer and will be responsible for a wide range of paralegal and administrative tasks related primarily to company intellectual property (IP) and contracts.
You will support Michelman’s corporate lawyer with organizational efforts to increase awareness of related matters, and assist and/or facilitate training sessions related to contract risk management, proper trademark use, trademark selection and trademark protection.
