Being a Paralegal drafts and edits legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts. Conducts fact-finding, data collection, and analysis used to prepare statements and arguments. Additionally, Paralegal assists attorneys with depositions, interviews, discovery, and investigations. Manages, organizes, and archives documents with software tools and technology. Applies specialized legal terminology appropriately in documents. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to an attorney. Job Overview:
Builder Finance Inc. (“BFI”) is the growing lender to builders and investors for houses and multi-unit residential. Launched in 2014, BFI now has multiple, coast-to-coast lending programs.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the loan closing process and represent BFI throughout the loan closing process. Responsibilities include: preparing, reviewing and distributing loan documentation and settlement statements; handling the title insurance process, including the recording/perfection of relevant liens; coordinating loan closings and initial disbursement of funds; and ensuring proper recording and filing of lending instruments. Communication with borrowers, internal staff, and BFI agents is required.
