This is a paid developmental state park ranger position for the South Carolina State Park Service. This position is under general supervision, and assists with overall operation and maintenance of Lake Wateree State Park, located on Lake Wateree in Winnsboro, SC. This is the best and most efficient way to become a state park ranger in South Carolina.
This is more than just a job – this is the entry into a potential career as a state park ranger that may offer several positions across the state as you promote within the park service. All full-time rangers at Lake Wateree State Park began their careers as an assistant ranger.
This position will primarily focus on the administration, maintenance, and groundskeeping of Lake Wateree State Park. This involves, but is not limited to, making reservations, accounting, opening and closing park facilities, facility and vehicle maintenance, and landscaping/groundskeeping. There is a heavy focus on providing all park visitors with a quality customer service experience while visiting the park to enhance their visit.
