Park Naturalist plans, develops, and conducts programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features concerning national, state, or local parks. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Park Office / Group Sales Assistant

  • The Park Office / Group Sales Assistant will perform general clerical duties, serve as an additional main contact for visiting groups leaders and assist in various park departments as needed.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Will perform daily and assigned administrative/clerical functions: including but not limited to answering office phones, sorting and distributing mail/emails, preparing and filing documents, maintaining / creating spreadsheets, etc.
    • Providing clerical support to other staff and departments as needed.
    • Ordering and providing accurate inventories of office supplies and products.
    • Maintaining current office procedures and files, with the ability to maintain an efficient system for staff to access needed files and records.
    • Provide a clean and organized office environment, while acting as a main point of contact for employees, customers, vendors, etc. throughout the day.
    • Assisting management, as needed: including, but not limited to, training employees on new procedures, new equipment, new park activities, and performing other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Extensive knowledge of office management procedures, with proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet proper deadlines.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook - or related software.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in related field preferred.
    • Three years of administrative & clerical experience required.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of talking, walking, standing and/or sitting throughout the day.
    • The ability to maintain a clean and functional office - including light cleaning and some maintenance/upkeep of office equipment.
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, phone system, or register.
    • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
