Under direction of the Recreation Manager, the Putting Course/Paddleboat/Spray Park Manager oversees the seasonal operation of all three facilities located at Colonial Park. Each facility enhances the variety of activities that are available for park patrons and residents of Somerset County. The nature of facility requires both general and facility specific oversight, to ensure quality and safe delivery of activities and services.

The Recreation Department is responsible for the operation of a variety of recreation facilities, including two tennis facilities, a swimming pool, miniature golf, and paddle boating. The Department is also responsible for three special use parks. The Department facilities offer lessons, tournaments, wellness programs and lectures, concerts, and special events. The Manager also approves permits for groups who rent park facilities to conduct special events, use the flying field for model aircraft and approved drones, and run tennis leagues. There are approximately 75,000 visitations to the recreation facilities and events and the facilities generate income of $300,000.

This position is accountable for approx. 20-25 part-time staff and approx. 2. Assistant Managers

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

- Past staff supervisory & scheduling experience

- Familiarity with Point of Sale system

- Strong customer Service experience

Preferred:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher

- Recreational facility operational experience

- Spray Park or Aquatic facility familiarity
