Parking Supervisor jobs in Salisbury, NC

VetPride Services is seeking a Valet Driver in support of valet operations at the Salisbury VA Medical Center. We provide a free vehicle parking and retrieval program for Military Veteran patients. VetPride Services gives preference on hiring Veterans and Military personnel.

Hourly Rate: $17.20

Health & Welfare: $4.57/hr (to be deposited into a retirement account)

Shift: Part-time, Monday-Friday: 12:00pm-4:00pm

Location: Salisbury VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet valet customers in a pro manner upon their arrival/departure.
• Open doors, assist customers as needed with wheelchair or walker.
• Provide directions as needed.
• Perform valet area access control responsibilities.
• Safely operate various vehicles types to/from the valet areas.
• Closely inspect all vehicles for damage and record findings on valet ticket.
• Secure all vehicles and return key tag and keys to the valet podium.
• Follow safe driving procedure and safety protocols at all times.
• Abide by all rules and regulations set by the VA.
• Report to duty in company issued uniform; personal hygiene and a professional appearance is expected at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, heat and cold.
• Must possess strong customer service skills and the ability to respond calmly and professionally when handling conflict.
• Consistent attendance and reliability required.
• Ability to understand, speak, and write basic English.
• Regularly stand for long periods (6-8 hours) and walk quickly.
• Ability to lift to 30 pounds.
• Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others.
• Valid Driver's License.

Experience Requirements

• 1-year experience driving manual and automatic transmissions.
• Valet experience preferred, but not required.
