PURPOSE and SCOPE:

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Parts and Service, the Director of Global Parts Operations is directly responsible for North American service parts warehouse leadership, teams, systems, facilities, and logistics. As well, this role will provide guidance for worldwide aftermarket product and parts distribution. The Director of Global Parts Operations will collaborate closely with the Director of Global Parts Sales and Support and other senior leaders across our businesses and brands, to evolve current and future service parts warehouses into a cohesive state-of-the-art system of Parts Distribution Centres serving our worldwide network of agricultural and industrial customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the global alignment and operation of all Service Parts warehousing and distribution facilities and strategic 3PL (third party logistics) agreements in support of corporate growth strategies and goals.

• Provides direct leadership for Service Parts warehouse/PDC management across North America, empowering ownership throughout the skilled team and ensuring a safe work environment and culture.

• Provides indirect leadership for regional Parts teams and facilities outside of North America, collaborating with regional GMs and Parts Managers on all aspects of warehousing & logistics to ensure consistent practices and customer experience globally.

• Strives for industry-best order fulfillment experience for each dealer location through fast, efficient, transparent customer service.

• Oversees the planning, approval and execution of all PDC investment projects from system and racking improvements, strategic automation installations, through to new facility designs and launches.

• Leads the implementation and optimization of a network wide Warehouse Management System to support multiple businesses within a shared service structure for parts distribution.

• Collaborates with customer-facing teams to ensure efficient placement and movement of service parts and aftermarket inventory.

• Coordinates cross-functional initiatives with Operations and Engineering stakeholders to implement creative sourcing and production solutions to increase turns and optimize inventory.

• Develops and manages Departmental capital and expense budgets for North American service parts warehousing and logistics.

• Involved in hiring, mentorship, and development of skilled teams and leaders, championing corporate initiatives such as waste elimination, sustainability (Net Zero by 2050), and diversity across all areas of responsibility.

• Stays well connected with global customers, dealers, and Parts Operations personnel through frequent communication and site visits as required to continuously improve effectiveness and ease-of-doing business in all areas of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate is a creative problem solver and empowering leader with experience designing and implementing innovative solutions in a complex warehouse, distribution, or production environment.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience leading skilled teams and/or complex projects.

• Relevant university degree or diploma in workflow/process engineering, business administration, or supply chain management

• Exceptional planning and communication skills.

• Experience implementing best practices and launching new systems.

• Experience successfully aligning across multiple teams, departments, or business units.

• Willing and able to travel effectively while achieving a rewarding work/life balance.

• Agricultural experience or farm background is an asset.
