Job Purpose:
The Parts Manager is responsible for operating a profitable and efficient Parts Department, for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory for the facility, and to provide leadership in motivating and coaching employees to uphold our brand reputation, through excellence in the delivery of our services. The Parts Manager is an expert in our parts and products and can troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, engine, or hydraulic issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represents Finn All Seasons with a high level of professionalism and with the highest level of integrity in all business dealings
- Provides exceptional customer service in helping to troubleshoot customer issues and locating the required parts efficiently
- Ensures proper inventory levels through efficient replenishing, and accurately and efficiently restocking shelves
- Works with the Service Manager to ensure timely availability of parts needed
- Works with factory representatives regarding parts issues and needs
- Performs accurate cycle counts and regular physical inventories
- Processes and records financial transactions and POS data
- Identifies strategies to resolve inventory storage issues
- Stays abreast of emerging trends in inventory management and works to replace manual processes with automation, where reasonable, to maintain peak efficiency
- Pulls, packs, and ships orders
- Supports the business in all departments as needed
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts sales, hazardous waste disposal, and OSHA right-to-know and shipping regulations and completes required OSHA training for all department employees
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages Parts Associates where applicable.
Work Environment:
Warehouse and store/office environment. Exposure to noise, fumes, and dust while in the warehouse facility.
Physical Demands:
This position frequently lifts heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and effectively lifts and carries heavy loads. The position requires good manual dexterity.
