Parts Supervisor jobs in Ohio

Parts Supervisor identifies, inspects, coordinates, and processes parts to be exchanged. Dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Being a Parts Supervisor monitors all backorders and communicates and provides technical assistance to parts sales, customers, and branches. Updates and monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed. Additionally, Parts Supervisor generates progress reports on schedule status, parts usage, and inventory and keeps records of completed orders. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Parts Supervisor independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. To be a Parts Supervisor typically requires 5-7 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, DUTIES AND ABILITIES:
    Responsible for consistently growing the business by exceeding all sales, payroll and profit goals with a specific focus on production metrics & Key Performance Indicators;
    Monitor and manage inventory to ensure maximum profitability and product availability;
    Maintaining adequate levels of safety and security throughout the warehouse at all times and assist in documenting incident reports;
    Maintain the highest standards of customer service, including prompt handling of all customer and associates complaints/concerns;
    Maintain warehouse appearance at or above company standards;
    Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment;
    Ability to make sound, common sense business decisions;
    Ability to communicate professionally & effectively with subordinates, peers, and corporate management, both verbally and in writing;
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce;
    Provide input into the selection, hiring, training, developing, and retention processes for quality associates;
    Ability to direct, coordinate and set an example for associate’s performance;
    Ability to hold associates accountable for successful outcomes/results;
    Ability to ensure effective and efficient use of all available resources in a cost effective manner;
    Ability to build strong relationships with associates, customers, office and warehouse support staff, peers and supervisors;
    Ability to manage labor hours and payroll costs effectively;
    Ability to think in terms of overall leadership and business objectives;
    Ability to effectively motivate, coach and teach associates to reach their full potential;
    Ability to plan, schedule, delegate responsibility for and follow-up on assigned duties, while holding associates accountable for achieving both personal and shift-wide results;
    Ability to manage inventory levels for maximum profitability and customer needs, while holding inventory losses to an acceptable level as established by the company;
    Ability to understand all facets of the warehouse operations model including inventory management, stocking levels, parts distribution and delivery systems;
    Possess strong organizational and motivational skills;
    Ability to maintain high standards of customer service and create positive customer experiences that reflect well upon the company;
    Ability to build customer loyalty;
    Familiar in the use of warehouse management computerized systems and applications to include, inventory control, stocking, receiving, picking and packing;
    Competent in Microsoft Excel & Word;
    Ability to identify & document Haz-Mat Bill of Lading requirements when shipping;
    Ability to monitor all activity within the warehouse, thus ensuring safe, effective and productive results while driving key business objectives including the reduction or elimination of at-fault accidents;
    Ability to manage time effectively;
