Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastor typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • Position Description:

    The Pursuit Church is looking for a person who is passionate about seeing the next generation become passionate Jesus followers. The Next Generation Pastor is responsible for overseeing our kids, students, and young adult ministries of The Pursuit Church. This person should have a proven record of building teams, developing leaders, and helping people grow spiritually.

    Responsibilities:

    Oversee our Kids and Student ministries at the Minot Campus and provide coaching and support to the other campuses.

    o Provide leadership to our Kids Pursuit and Momentum staff.

    o Ensure collaboration between the ministries to effectively minister to kids, students, and families as a cohesive team.

    o Coach and train kids and student ministry staff to effectively build and care for volunteer ministry teams.

    o Lead and implement strategies to help kids and students to grow spiritually.

    o Provide ongoing vision, coaching, and encouragement to other campuses’ kids and student ministries.

    Develop and lead a young adult ministry at the Minot campus and provide support to the other campuses.

    o Develop a strategy that aligns with the mission, vision, and core values of the church to effectively reach and minister to the young adults of our community.

    o Recruit, build, and lead a team of leaders to mentor and minister to the young adults of the church.

    o Partner with our Community Groups ministry to establish community groups for young adults.

    o Provide ongoing vision, coaching, and encouragement to other campuses as they develop young adult ministries.

    Oversee the Pursuit Preschool at the Minot Campus.

    o Provide leadership, coaching, and encouragement to the Preschool director.

    o Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the preschool and other ministries of the church.

    Other

    o Preach and teach occasionally.

    o Provide leadership and development to some staff members.

    o Provide assistance and support for ‘all-in’ church moments.

    o Attend regular weekly/monthly meetings.

    o Other duties assigned by Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor.

    Position Requirements:

    Organizational Leader – Can develop teams to oversee large amounts of people.

    Equipper – The ability to teach, empower, and equip others for ministry.

    Strategic Planner – Can look at the big picture and develop an annual plan to grow the ministry.

    Team Builder – Can recruit, lead, and develop a team.

    Personal and Spiritual Requirements:

    · Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

    · Commit to personal spiritual growth and a healthy lifestyle

    · Participate in the life of the church (groups, serving, giving, worship)

    · Model the standards and expectations of leaders within The Pursuit (as outlined in scripture), including:

    – Personal integrity and moral responsibility

    – Abstain from illegal substances and excess alcohol

    – Use social media responsibly

    Compensation and Hours:

    · Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications of the applicant

    · This is a full-time salaried position.
