Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastor typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Recovery Pastor

    Job Title:  Recovery Pastor

     

    Hope Center Ministries is a growing nonprofit discipleship recovery program with multiple centers across the U.S.   Hope Center Ministries exists to lead addicts and their families
    to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We do this by helping those individuals bound by drug addiction and/or alcoholism find lasting freedom and sobriety through a relationship with Jesus Christ, which translates into seeing the lost saved, the saved freed, the freed restored, and the restored fulfilled.  


    Position  

    The Recovery Pastor provides their campus with discipleship, develops appropriate culture, oversees daily operation of the campus and family/support connections.  Builds and manages volunteers, bible study teachers and community leaders.



    Discipleship


    •   Lay Counseling
    •   Ensure adequate time is spent with every resident via Individual and Group Counseling
    •   Ensures “DNA” for counseling is being followed
    •   Ensures counseling statements are entered in database correctly
    •   Mentorship
    •   Facilitates outings with approved Mentors & Family Members
    •   Bible Studies/Devotionals
    •   Ensure bible study teachers are aware of and following HCM Guidelines
    •   Ensure bible study teachers are qualified to teach bible study
    •   Phase 3 Monitoring Agreement Guidelines
    •   Ensure resident obtains an appropriate sponsor


     Campus Culture


    •    Guides Community Leaders to carryout daily schedule for the purpose of maintaining Structure
    •    Ensures rest and promotes healthy fun
    •    Saturday-Rest/Recreation
    •    Free Nights-Gym/Rest
    •    Promotes and leads a Godly Environment
    •    Caring for needs of residents
    •    Praying, Eating together
    •    Christian movies, music and books
    •    Ensure all discipline is being done in love and properly documented in database


    Daily Operations


    •      Manage day to day operations at Campus
    •      Develop and delegate responsibilities to Community Leaders/Staff/Apprentices/Interns
    •      Ensure all counseling requirements are being met
    •      Oversee Phase I vocational training
    •      Plan weekend activities
    •      Ensure Scripture of the Week is posted
    •      Uphold policies of Hope Center Ministries
    •      Administrative
    •      Ensure all resident documentation is in database correctly and in appropriate time frame


    Family Support 


    •      Coordinate Family Support Nights
    •      Ensure Foundation class in conducted
    •      Ensure all support groups are invited to events including church events
    •      Plan Holiday and Special Events for support groups


    Professional Development/Personal Growth  


    •      Devotes time for spiritual, mental, physical development and well-being through personal disciplines.  
    •      Attend courses/workshops/conferences as appropriate.  
    •      Performance will be reviewed regarding developing and adding leaders, volunteers, bible study teachers
    •      Set realistic goals through casting vision, implementing strategies and acquiring funding
    •      Full Performance Review performed Annually, minimum


    Knowledge/Skills


    •      Advanced knowledge of the Bible
    •      Working knowledge of Celebrate Recovery 12 steps and 8 Principles (Beatitudes)
    •      Basic knowledge of human behavior
    •      Basic knowledge of lay counseling and Drug & Alcohol rehabilitation 
    •      General knowledge of the 12-steps, 8-principles, HCM curriculum & for individuals and groups 
    •      Convey information effectively
    •      Time Management 
    •      Ability to handle complaints, settle disputes & resolve grievances 


    Additional Requirement


    •     Have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and must live a life according to Biblical standards
    •      Agree with the Statement of Faith, Lifestyle Statement, and overall vision of Hope Center Ministries
    •      Successfully pass background Screening, social media, personal & professional reference checks
    •      Meet any additional requirements as may be determined by Hope Center Ministries
