Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and guidance to our congregation. The ideal candidate will be a devout individual with a deep understanding of Christian theology and a passion for serving others. The Pastor will be responsible for leading worship services, providing counseling and support to members of the congregation, and fostering a sense of community and belonging within the church.

Responsibilities:

1. Spiritual Leadership: Provide spiritual guidance and leadership to the congregation in accordance with Christian teachings and the mission of the church.

2. Worship Services: Plan and lead inspiring and meaningful worship services, including sermons, prayers, and sacraments, to nurture the faith of the congregation.

3. Pastoral Care: Offer compassionate pastoral care, counseling, and support to individuals and families in times of need, including hospital visits, bereavement support, and marriage counseling.

4. Community Engagement: Engage with the local community to address social issues, promote outreach programs, and foster positive relationships with neighboring organizations.

5. Teaching and Education: Develop and lead educational programs, Bible studies, and discipleship initiatives to deepen the spiritual growth and understanding of church members.

6. Leadership Development: Identify, mentor, and equip lay leaders within the congregation to assist in various ministries and outreach efforts.

7. Administration: Oversee the administrative tasks of the church, including budget management, staff supervision (if applicable), and ensuring compliance with church policies and procedures.

8. Collaboration: Work closely with church staff, volunteers, and committees to coordinate ministry activities, events, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Ordination: Must be ordained or eligible for ordination within the denomination of the church.

2. Theological Education: A graduate degree from an accredited theological seminary or equivalent theological training is preferred.

3. Experience: Previous experience serving as a pastor or in a pastoral role within a church community is highly desirable.

4. Spiritual Maturity: Demonstrated spiritual maturity, integrity, and a personal commitment to ongoing spiritual growth and development.

5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate biblical truths and offer compassionate pastoral care.

6. Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and inclusive approach to ministry.

7. Compassion and Empathy: Genuine care and compassion for others, with the ability to empathize and provide support to individuals facing various challenges.

8. Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the congregation and the community.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,750.88 per year
