Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. 1. Preparing and preaching Biblical sermons on a weekly basis.
2. Oversee special ceremonies and services, such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc.
3. Oversee the various ministries with the support of church leadership.
4. Develop outreach programs to help serve the community. This may include working with other like minded organizations.
5. Plan and lead services collaborating with the worship team.
6. Provide pastoral care for the congregation which would include visiting the sick, counseling those in need, and offering support during times of crisis.
7. Facilitate and develop small groups and educational programs to grow the congregation spiritually.
8. Work and develop with church staff to establish and execute a strategic plan for both the church and leadership growth.
