Summary and Purpose of Position

The Sand Lake Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church located in Sand Lake, NY and we are looking for a full-time or bi-vocational Pastor who uses, and believes in, the King James Bible. We are a rural, congregationally led church and our future Pastor must be in agreement with our Church’s Statement of Faith. The ideal candidate is family oriented, has graduated from seminary and is, or will be, ordained in the Baptist denomination. Worship and pastoral care is central to our small congregation but we are keen to enlarge as Christ sees fit. Therefore, our desire is to find a Pastor who is gifted in soul winning, has a passion for working well with community groups in conjunction with church membership. In addition, our Pastor must have unquestioned integrity.

Primary responsibilities involving worship and Pastoral care

- KJV Bible based sermons every Sunday morning and on alternate weeks on Sunday evenings; -Adult Bible Study classes on a weekly basis; - Insightful counseling while maintaining confidentiality; -Visiting members who are home-bound, hospitalized or in assisted-living centers, and administer the Lord’s Supper as required; -Be highly motivated in regularly reaching out to the unchurched, infrequent attendees and bringing new members into the church family; -Monthly updates in the community newspaper or in-house mailing; -Be a good leader who builds a sense of fellowship and is effective at encouraging and utilizing members for the work of the ministry; -Attendance to Board and Committee Meetings; -Annual pastoral report.

Minimum Education and Experience

Ministry degree or equivalent experience. Be a good leader with strong communication skills and basic technological skills.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $49,460.00 per year
