Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare develops programs and oversees services designed to meet the religious and spiritual needs of patients, their families, and healthcare staff. Ensures that pastoral services are staffed so that chaplains are available to support patients and families facing difficult medical choices. Assist patients, families and staff at CAMC, to utilize the spiritual resources which promote health and wholeness, functioning as an integral member of the CAMC health care team.
Responsibilities
• Provide pastoral care to patients/families/staff at CAMC involving clergy within the community. • Provide religious counseling and guidance. • Provide formal and informal religious services. • Coordinate pastoral care activities with those of other departments as appropriate. • Provide a liaison service and consultation/educational/debriefing between staff, patient and the faith community. • Perform related duties as assigned, including provision of religious literature, Bibles and devotional guides. • Provide staff education on utilizing pastoral care. • Provide an environment for spiritual growth at all levels at CAMC. • Promote health and faith issues through inservices and workshops within CAMC and the local community. • Additional Information: This job includes half time at Women's and Children and afternoon at Memorial hospital.

Education
• High School Diploma or GED (Required) Education: One Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Board of Regents Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Theology preferred. Experience: None. Must be endorsed and ordained. 1 year in an Acute Care Setting preferred.
