A skilled nursing facility located in New Haven County is seeking a Director of Maintenance to join its team.
Qualified Candidate will:
· Be responsible for the overall maintenance operations of the facility while complying with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations
· Conduct Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Preventative Maintenance audits to ensure working order of facility equipment
· Maintain documentation of routine and preventative maintenance measures
· Order and requisition supplies and equipment as needed
· Coordinate services from outside vendors
· Have working knowledge of and aptly perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanics painting, and other various tasks
· Present fire safety training to personnel and ensure compliance with fire and disaster plans
· Participate in compliance or other required training programs
· Attend Department Head meetings
· Supervise the Maintenance Assistant
· Remain on call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day
· Have prior experience in Long Term Care or Healthcare setting
· Display positivity and tact when when interacting with customers, visitors, personnel, government entities and the public
