Under supervision of the Administrator of the facility, the van driver is responsible for operating the facility van in a safe and efficient manner. The van driver is responsible for the safety and well-being of themselves, their passengers, and all other people on the road.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D
Licensed driver in the state
Experience driver 5 years minimum as a licensed driver
Minimum 25 years old
Duties include (but not limited to):
· Provide safe and efficient transportation
· Transport residents to appointments at scheduled times
· Stay with residents as needed at appointments
· Make/modify appointments as needed
· Conduct a pre-trip inspection of the van and post trip inspection
· Fuel van as necessary
· Monitor for vehicle maintenance needed
· Provide services in a courteous and respectful manner
Physical demands lifting and guiding wheelchair passengers onto the wheelchair lift and properly securing them. Drivers will need to bend, stoop, crouch, and a physical lifting of 50 lbs
