    Any guest can watch our chocolate-making process from the window of their shop on 819 S. Garfield Ave. and step in to taste the finished product in its many forms from chocolate bars to chocolate raspberry entremet and our beloved truffles & bon bons. We are one of only a handful of bean to bar chocolate makers in the entire state of Michigan and we are most excited about educating our community about the bean to bar chocolate movement.

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our culinary offerings.

    Responsibilities:

    - Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and standards

    - Decorate pastries using various techniques to ensure an appealing presentation

    - Monitor baking process to ensure proper cooking times and temperatures

    - Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items

    - Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety guidelines

    - Collaborate with other members of the production team to ensure efficient operations between 2 stores and production facility for wholesale clients and store guests.

    - Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries or special requests

    Experience:

    - Proven experience in food production, baking, or cooking, preferably in a professional kitchen setting

    - Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment

    - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards

    - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

    - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
